For business meetings, negotiations and bilateral sessions where a conversational rhythm works well. No equipment required. Just an experienced interpreter.

Consecutive interpreting is the best format for smaller, conversational events.
The speaker talks for a moment – then pauses and the interpreter delivers the equivalent in the other language. The event goes in turns, alternating between the original speech and the interpretation.
Unlike simultaneous interpreting, no technical equipment is required. The interpreter is part of the meeting – taking notes and rendering each passage accurately when the speaker pauses.
You have a small group or a bilateral meeting
The pace of the event is conversational and pauses feel natural
A full simultaneous setup with booths and headsets is disproportionate to the occasion
You need an interpreter at a business meeting, negotiation, press conference, factory visit, training session or working dinner
You want an interpreter who is visibly present and part of the conversation, not in a booth at the back
For large conferences with dense agendas and many participants,
simultaneous
interpreting is usually more appropriate.

Consecutive interpretation between the languages you need, delivered accurately and seamlessly throughout the meeting.
Interpreters begin every assignment with preparation. You share your agenda, presentations and relevant materials in advance. The interpreter arrives knowing your subject matter, your terminology and your speakers' context.
Professional consecutive interpreters use a specialised notation system to capture the content of longer passages. You do not need to slow down to accommodate the interpreter.
Date, location, language combination, approximate duration and subject matter. A short conversation is usually enough.
Share your agenda and materials as early as possible. The more preparation time, the better the result.
The interpreter renders each passage as the speakers pause. All participants can follow the conversation in their own language.
Everything you need to know before booking a consecutive interpreter for your meeting.
Ask us directlyHow long can a consecutive interpreter work alone?
For meetings up to a full day, a single experienced interpreter is standard. For longer events, multi-day assignments or high-intensity formats such as simultaneous consecutive at large gatherings, a second interpreter is recommended. We will flag this when relevant.
Does the meeting take twice as long with consecutive interpreting?
Roughly, yes. Each passage is spoken once in the original language and once in the interpretation. This is why consecutive interpreting works best for conversational events where a back-and-forth rhythm is natural. For dense, time-pressured programmes, simultaneous interpreting eliminates this overhead.
Can consecutive interpreting be done online?
Yes. For online meetings via Zoom, Teams or similar platforms, consecutive interpreting works well. The interpreter joins as a participant and interprets when speakers pause. For online events with larger audiences, RSI (Remote Simultaneous Interpreting) may be more appropriate.
What languages can you cover?
Czech, English and French are my active working languages. For other language combinations – Russian, German, Polish, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Hebrew, Albanian and others – I recruit from my personal network of trusted colleagues. If you need a language not listed here, ask.
What do I need to provide in advance?
The agenda, any presentations or speaker notes, a brief on the subject matter, and any specific terminology that will come up. The more context the interpreter has before the event, the better the output on the day.
Can you also provide a written record of the meeting?
Interpreters do not produce transcripts as part of a standard assignment. If you need a written record, let us know in advance. We can discuss what is feasible.
Get in touch with the basics and we will confirm availability and advise on the right format.
