What it is

Interpreting that works wherever your participants are

International meetings no longer require everyone to be in the same room – and professional interpreting has followed. Whether your event is fully virtual, hybrid, or a remote meeting with participants across multiple countries, your audience deserves the same quality of interpreting as an in-person conference.

We configure the setup, brief the team, and make sure your participants hear everything clearly – regardless of where they are connecting from.

Two formats for online interpreting

Remote Simultaneous Interpreting (RSI)

For online conferences, webinars and hybrid events with larger audiences. Participants select their language channel and hear the interpretation through their headset or speakers, exactly as they would at an in-person event. We work with Zoom's built-in interpretation feature, Microsoft Teams and dedicated RSI platforms including Interactio and Interprefy.

Consecutive online interpreting

For smaller meetings and bilateral sessions via Zoom or Teams. The interpreter joins as a participant, listens as speakers talk, and interprets when they pause. No special platform or setup required – just a stable internet connection and a meeting link.

When you need it

When do you need online interpreting?

Your conference or event has participants joining remotely from multiple countries

You are running a hybrid event with both in-room and online attendees

You need interpreting for a multilingual webinar, virtual AGM or online training session

Your bilateral meeting is taking place online and your participants speak different languages

You want to add a language channel to your existing Zoom or Teams meeting

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before setting up online interpreting for your event.

Ask us directly

Which platforms do you work with?

We work with Zoom (using the built-in interpretation feature), Microsoft Teams, and dedicated RSI platforms including Interactio and Interprefy. If your organisation uses a different platform, let us know – in most cases we can find a solution.

Do participants need to install anything?

For Zoom and Teams, participants use the applications they likely already have. For dedicated RSI platforms, participants typically access the language channel via a browser link or a simple app – we provide clear instructions with every event.

What is the difference between RSI and a consecutive online interpreter?

RSI is simultaneous – participants hear the interpretation in real time without any pauses in the event. A consecutive online interpreter joins a meeting and interprets when speakers pause, which adds time but requires no special platform setup. RSI is better suited to larger events and denser agendas; consecutive works well for smaller meetings.

How many interpreters do I need for an online event?

The same standard applies as for in-person simultaneous interpreting: a minimum of two interpreters per language pair, rotating every 20–30 minutes. We always staff online events correctly.

Can you handle hybrid events – part in-room, part online?

Yes. Hybrid events require coordinating both the in-room interpretation component and the online channels simultaneously. We handle this as a single coordinated service – one point of contact for both.

What languages can you cover?

Czech, English and French are my active working languages. For all other combinations – Russian, German, Polish, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Hebrew, Albanian and others – I recruit from my personal network of trusted colleagues.

What if there is a technical problem during the event?

We monitor the setup throughout the event and are available to resolve issues immediately. Most common problems – a participant on the wrong channel, an interpreter connection dropping – are resolved in under a minute when someone is actively watching. We are always watching.

Ready to set up your online event?

Tell us the platform, the languages and the date. We will handle everything else.
